    Description

    Seems to work good, been in storage for years, plugged it in put a file in and a piece of sheet metal to test and used it for about 15 min., 115VAC, has a working work light, I think the motor is 1/4HP. I put a triangular file in to test but I think it takes a non-tapered file which I do not have. Very clean machine, gave it a quick wipe down but nothing has been lubricated or adjusted. Vise is 26" Long and 6 1/2" Deep, 29" table travel via large hand wheel that drives a chain, table moves smoothly from left to right. The working height is 49" and looks to be adjustable, there are also angle adjustment for vise in two axis as well as file itself. Can be seen in So. Calif. under power in person and forklift here to load suitable vehicle. The vintage machinery dot org website has two documents that offer many details and instructions on this machine, if you search under manufacturer index using term Max manufacturing you will find a MAX/ACME sales flier and also a document called The Acme Saw Shop Manual with many details. Truck freight shipping is available and may be less than you think so please send zip code for cost. It will ship on a larger (48" X 42") pallet than in the photos and be bolted and banded down and wrapped in stretch film.
