    This is a left hand wind torsion spring. In recent years most doors are being supplied with torsion springs located directly above the door and mounted to the header. Replacement will require the use of 2 winding rods, sold separately. To wind the torsion spring correctly you will need a clear understanding of wire size and handing. It is always best to replace both springs at the same time.
